How We Started

Our founder has always been passionate about skincare. Her very first job at 15 yrs old was working for her uncle, a dermatologist. She later went on to build a career in medicine and found purpose in helping people live healthier lives. When she became a mother, she became more mindful of the types of products she used on herself and her children. As she started teaching her “tween” daughter about skincare she was driven to design a line that she could use on herself and give to her girls without worrying about harmful chemicals. She realized the ritual of skincare was a special way to bond and connect with her daughters, and when they saw their mom take part in a healthy ritual of self care, they started practicing it as well. When working in oncology, she observed how those immunocompromised needed gentle products so she added formulations for ultra sensitive skin with no fragrance in honor of those dear friends and their moms. Being a lover of nature and outdoor activities, she also heard a calling to help to preserve our beautiful oceans for future generations. Thus, L'Eau de Vie was born.

Drawing Inspiration from Nature

Our founder loves the feeling of being by the ocean and is inspired by trips to visit family in Santa Cruz, CA. She and her husband met while rafting and she dreams of teaching her girls to surf when they are older.
